A Slovenian scuba diver was found floating unconscious after an ascent from a 50 meter deep dive by her partner who ascended shortly after. The tragedy took place at Sušac, a small island a in the Adriatic Sea, 16.4 km of coastline southwest of Korčula and Lastovo. More details will likely be known after the investigation.
The diver was indentified as Irena Čok, the president of the Ljubljana Association for Sea Research and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Slovenian Diving Association, a veteran of 20 years diving experience.
Sušac is a very known Island in the local diving circles, both for multiple diving accidents and tragedies, as well as being one of the best diving locations in Croatia.
