Premuda is a small and charming Island approximately 10 km long and up to 1 km wide. It is situated southwest of Silba and northwest of Škarda and is the last island before the Italian coastline. It has a population of only about 50 inhabitants, but those numbers increase during the summer season.
The Cathedral (local name “Katedrala”) is a system of connected caves with depths from 10-30m. Great visibility with beautiful light rays fall through the porous ceiling of the caves. No currents. Bring your camera.
A short documentary video is showing some features of the dive – it is in Croatian, though there are parts in English.
“Katedrala” is one of the top dive sites in Croatia, and even if you are not diving, Premuda is not to be missed.
